OBJECTIVE
The objective of the Foundation is included in the articles of association, as stated in Article 3:
The Foundation aims to contribute to the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ by teaching and supporting churches, foundations, and organizations; and by building people up in faith in the Netherlands and beyond, so that they may take their place in society from the love of Jesus.
The Foundation seeks to achieve its objective, among other things, by:
> organizing gatherings in the broadest sense of the word, such as prayer and worship meetings, conferences, and studies/courses;
> speaking and teaching the Word of God in churches, congregations, meetings, and conferences, both in the Netherlands and internationally;
> guiding, encouraging, and supporting people throughout the country;
> offering online inspiration around the message of the Bible and social issues, using as many means as possible within social media and other media;
> financially and spiritually supporting ministries of faith.
OBJECTIVE
The calling of Presence Revival is to worship and proclaim Jesus in public places, with the desire to see spiritual renewal arise within society. We long for the liberating gospel of Jesus Christ to touch people, and even entire nations, worldwide. Presence is called to worship and proclaim the Name of Jesus in public places, to ignite revival in the heart of society.
Presence came into being through a calling that God gave to Wim and Gea Hoddenbagh from the Netherlands in 2019, by God’s grace. Together with a team of evangelists and worshippers, they bring worship, intercession, and evangelism to public places.
The strength lies in simplicity. We believe that nations and cities can be changed by the presence of God, under the powerful guidance of the Holy Spirit, through men and women who are willing to dedicate their lives fully to Jesus.
PUBLIC BENEFIT
Through the objective of the Foundation and its associated activities, we seek to serve and positively influence society. We believe these activities have a positive impact on people’s lives, enabling them to experience personal restoration and thereby function better. With this objective and these activities, we aim to serve the public benefit.
Stichting Presence Nederland is also involved as a partner in providing aid to those in need, supporting persecuted Christians through financial support and personal visits, and initiating and sustaining various social initiatives of churches, both locally and internationally.
The activities of Stichting Presence contribute to social strength and spiritual growth within vulnerable communities, both in the Netherlands and internationally. Our mission trips and donations are aimed at the sustainable strengthening of local communities, through cooperation with local workers, churches, and trustworthy Christian organizations.
The mission of the Lord Jesus, and therefore also our assignment, is to bring healing and freedom.
Isaiah 61:1 —
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
because the LORD has anointed Me
to bring good news to the meek.
He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”
God calls us to commit ourselves to the oppressed and those in need.
ABSENCE OF PROFIT MOTIVE
The Foundation does not aim to make a profit. The Foundation will use the donations it receives, as well as the fees received from work and activities, to develop activities or support other organizations that contribute to the realization of the Foundation’s objective.
FUNDRAISING
Stichting Presence Nederland receives its funds entirely from gifts and donations from partners who wish to contribute to the objective of the Foundation, without any profit motive.
MANAGEMENT OF ASSETS
Stichting Presence Nederland will use its assets in accordance with its statutory objective. The Foundation does not hold assets without assigning them a specific purpose, nor does it hold more assets than are reasonably necessary for the continuity of the Foundation.
No person or legal entity has decisive control within the Foundation. This means that no person or legal entity can dispose of the Foundation’s assets as if they were their own.
USE OF ANY SURPLUS UPON DISSOLUTION
Any surplus balance of the dissolved Foundation will be used for the benefit of a Public Benefit Organization with a similar objective to that of the Foundation, or for the benefit of a foreign organization that exclusively, or almost exclusively, serves the public benefit and has a similar objective to that of the Foundation.
REMUNERATION POLICY
Members of the board of the Foundation receive no remuneration or attendance fees, in accordance with the provisions of Article 7, paragraph 3 of the articles of association. Any expenses incurred, such as travel expenses, may be reimbursed to board members upon presentation of supporting documents.
The remuneration policy of the Foundation is aimed at rewarding its staff according to standards that are socially acceptable and responsible, appropriate to its status as a Public Benefit Organization. The level of remuneration depends on age, experience, position, education, and responsibility. The amount of remuneration is determined on the basis of these characteristics.
ADMINISTRATION
The Foundation is represented by the board. Administrative costs are kept as low as possible. The Foundation strives to ensure that administrative costs do not exceed 2% of all amounts received in a year.
The annual accounts of the organization are prepared by Gearwurk accountants & fiscalisten in Drachten.
Stichting Presence does not work with a regular budget, but with an expectation. We believe that God provides everything we need, according to Philippians 4:19, above all we can ask or imagine, according to Ephesians 3:20.
We work from faith. When we sense in prayer that we are to do something, we believe that God will provide the necessary resources, regardless of what came in during previous years. Precisely because we live and work from God’s hand, we handle our financial resources carefully and responsibly.
No debts are incurred, no more is spent than what comes in, and at the beginning of the year, in consultation with the board, it is determined how the resources will be allocated.
