The mission of Presence is to make God’s presence visible in the lives and callings of people, in the church and in places of influence in our nation.

Presence began with a calling that Wim and Gea Hoddenbagh received through a Bible passage from Isaiah 49:8–9:

I will appoint you as a covenant for the people —
to restore the land,
to reassign its desolate inheritances,
to say to the prisoners, “Come out!”
and to those in darkness, “Show yourselves!”

This passage contains four purposes:

> We believe that God has His eye on our nation. He calls people to make His presence visible in places of influence.

> We believe that God wants to fill the church in our nation once again with His glory, so that people will worship God and acknowledge: “Surely, God is among you.”

> We believe that the preaching of God’s Word and the testimony of God’s Spirit bring people into freedom again.

> We believe that today God is calling men and women to come forward and bring in the harvest.

The work of God’s Spirit is never small.
God’s Word is always full of power.

Presence reaches people by bringing a message of hope in churches and at conferences, by intentionally investing in the lives and callings of people, by encouraging and supporting leaders of organizations, foundations, and businesses, and by inspiring people through social media — and soon also through podcast and television.

Through His Word and by His Spirit, God transforms men and women, churches, businesses, and nations. He sees every person, and He has His eye on our nation. That is why Presence wants to equip as many people as possible to follow Jesus — freely and enthusiastically, in everyday life, in every sphere of influence in society.
